amy bickerton

user experience designer, san francisco

I'm versed in all stages of the design process—from fuzzy foundational research to detailed interaction design to pixel-perfect production. I love being a trusted and integral part of a team, working side-by-side with product management, engineering, marketing, and customer care to create a seamless user experience. Right now, I'm happily employed at Goodreads, a subsidiary of Amazon.

Whether I'm developing the user experience for a new product or iterating over time, I'm the voice of human-centered design throughout the product lifecycle.
I gather feedback with an open mind and an open heart. I involve stakeholders in conducting research and co-creating insights and implications for design.
I'm an every-day advocate for design thinking at Goodreads, where I'm employed full-time. Additionally, I teach in the interaction design program at California College of the Arts.
